Postgraduate Medical Education

The residency program in Plastic Surgery is a six-year structured training program. The first two (2) years are spent in core General Surgery that includes General Surgery, Emergency Room, Medicine, ICU, Plastic Surgery, and an elective surgery specialty (i.e., maxillofacial, ENT, and neurosurgery).  In their third and fourth years, residents will rotate as junior Plastic Surgery residents.  In the final two (2) years, residents will be senior Plastic Surgery residents.  The program offers great chances for skill development, knowledge expansion, understanding disease processes, preoperative and postoperative care and ambulatory care for plastic surgery patients.
