Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes

The goals of the fellowship program are multidimensional: train clinicians in the areas of endocrinology and diabetes in infants and children, provide an opportunity for young physicians and scientists to acquire both clinical and scientific skills, and create an atmosphere of service and academic excellence. The training period is for two years but an optional third year may be offered to meritorious fellows to undertake clinical research in endocrinology and diabetes. Exposure to clinical pediatric endocrinology and diabetes for full-time inpatient and outpatient services is strong. Experienced fellows would then add to the clinical training, and exposure in adult endocrinology and diabetes, inborn error of metabolism rotation, laboratory cytogenetics, molecular genetics, laboratory, and neuroradiology.  Involvement in planning and executing research projects is required from all fellows.
