The cases are difficult to manage, a good percentage of which requiring microsurgical free tissue transfer for reconstruction. Microsurgical procedures can be very complicated that may allow only a small margin of error.

It is in this context that a structured Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship training program was established. It is the objective of the program to make fellow-candidates acquire the necessary knowledge and skills and successfully graduate them as independent, safe, confident and competent reconstructive microsurgical surgeons for the hospital and the Kingdom. Graduates of residency training in Plastic Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, and General Surgery may apply to this 1-year fellowship program.
