Dr. Kattan holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology (Clinical and Translational Oncology) from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences with a concentration in Molecular Genetics from Alfaisal University in Riyadh.
She previously worked as a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she contributed to developing innovative methods for single-cell genomic data analysis.
She has published extensively in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and received several fellowships, including the Ibn Khaldun Fellowship for Saudi Arabian Women from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and MIT, and the Ibn Rushd Fellowship from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).
