Project Summary
We are establishing a design foundry for the development of targeted molecular detection of biomarkers in liquid biopsy of cancer. The platform is tailored for specific use cases in liquid biopsy for blood-based, urine-based and stool-based assays for implementation in qPCR, quantitation in dPCR, sequencing for short-read and long-read PCR.
These panels will be developed for specific subtyping in cancer, including liquid biopsy subtyping of bladder cancer and identification of colon cancer. They will be implemented in wet-lab formats of multiplex qPCR kits, multiplex dPCR kits, targeted short-read sequencing library prep kits, targeted long-read sequencing prep kits, and isolation kits. The resulting output of the tests will be integrated with automated bioinformatics and clinical reporting following existing ACMG guidelines. The medical device development will follow closely with ISO-13485 requirements to facilitate clinical translation and commercialization of the kits.
