The Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology Department is pleased to invite you to our World Hand Hygiene Awareness Day event, a day dedicated to promoting proper hand hygiene as one of the most effective measures for preventing infections and protecting both patients and healthcare professionals.
Objectives:
- Increase awareness of the critical role of hand hygiene in preventing healthcare-associated infections.
- Promote correct hand hygiene practices in accordance with international and institutional guidelines.
- Reinforce compliance with the Five Moments of Hand Hygiene among healthcare workers.
- Encourage the proper use of alcohol-based hand rubs and handwashing techniques.
- Foster positive behavioral change to improve patient safety and protect healthcare workers.
- Highlight the impact of effective hand hygiene on improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
