The Department of Ophthalmology aims to provide a complete range of medical and surgical treatment for both routine and complex eye-related disorders. In addition to deliver best patient experience and clinical outcomes in ophthalmology clinical practices by enhancing high performance culture, patient engagement, training and education, cutting-edge technology adoption and international accredited research publications. Finally, the Department members will work in collaboration with the community and local health care facilities to enhance community awareness of ophthalmic diseases and their causes through effective health education programs and tele-health services.
All our team (ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, ophthalmic assistants, photographers, and technicians) will work to achieve KFSH&RC core values as accountability, safety, patient centered, excellence, collaboration and transparency.
Scope of Service
The Department of Ophthalmology is a tertiary care center and serves as a major referral center for Al Madinah region. Our scope includes a Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Cataract Surgery, Cornea and External Ocular Disease, Medical & Surgical retina, Oculoplastic & Orbital disease, Glaucoma, Neuro-ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Uveitis, Tele-medicine and Pediatric/Adult optometry.
