Joint Commission International (JCI)  Accreditation - Academic Medical Centre (AMC)

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) General Organization (Gen. Org.) - Riyadh has been accredited by JCI since 16 November 2000. 

In March 2014, KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.) - Riyadh went through re-accreditation process by JCI and achieved Academic Medical Centre (AMC) Accreditation to be the first Hospital Accredited in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as such.

JCI 5th edition standards was effective on 1st of April 2014, new standards were implemented for Organ and Tissue Transplant programs. KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.)- Riyadh was surveyed based on JCI 5th standards and have been re-accredited as Academic Medical Center (AMC) effective on 31 March 2017 through 30 March 2020.
