Medical Oncology

Medical Oncology offers a two-year fellowship program. It consists of intense clinical activity with hands-on approach, along with didactic activities in the form of grand rounds, tumor boards and multi-disciplinary cancer conferences. Fellows spend the first year concentrating primarily on learning the clinical care of patients with solid tumors and malignant lymphomas, typically spent on inpatient and outpatient activities.

During this period, fellows learn the prescription of chemotherapy, precautions related to chemotherapy and management of chemotherapy toxicity. Elective rotations in malignant hematology, anatomic pathology, radiation oncology and research are available. There are ample opportunities for clinical as well as laboratory research in collaboration with the Research Centre
