His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, inaugurated a fire drill this Thursday morning at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC). The exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Riyadh Civil Defense Directorate as part of the annual civil defense drill, with the participation of relevant supporting entities. The initiative aims to enhance coordination and response capabilities, test the efficiency of evacuation and emergency systems, and ensure readiness in handling incidents, thereby safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors.
The drill was designed to streamline efforts among involved entities and enhance their performance in responding to emergencies within healthcare facilities. It involved implementing civil defense measures, taking necessary actions to protect those present, evacuating them to designated safe assembly points, and managing the situation according to the highest approved standards.
This fire drill is part of the Civil Defense’s ongoing efforts to regularly assess emergency preparedness, ensure the implementation of top safety standards, and enhance the efficiency of incident management systems, guaranteeing the highest levels of security across the healthcare sector.
