Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) is organizing the Second Precision Oncology Saudi Summit (POSS 2025) from February 6 to 8 at the King Salman International Convention Centre in Madinah. The event will bring together a distinguished group of experts from within the Kingdom and abroad to discuss the latest advancements and discoveries in precision oncology.

The summit aims to enhance the expertise of healthcare providers in precision oncology, a tailored approach to cancer treatment that addresses the unique needs of each patient rather than adopting a uniform approach. The event will focus on integrating molecular transformation tests to identify new targeted therapeutic options, utilizing advanced platforms to achieve better outcomes, and exploring how innovative models improve treatment precision.

Dr. Emad Mohammed Khadawardi, Acting General Manager of KFSHRC in Madinah, stated that the summit will highlight the use of advanced testing techniques to better understand the nature of tumors, enabling the identification of the most suitable treatment for each patient. It will also showcase modern technologies for more effective treatments, present new innovations for treating common types of cancer, and address critical issues and challenges associated with adopting new therapeutic approaches. Furthermore, it will explore the latest trends in precision oncology.

KFSHRC is committed to fostering communication and knowledge exchange among physicians and healthcare experts worldwide. The hospital actively participates in medical summits and scientific events to improve medical services and create an advanced therapeutic environment that enhances patient care experiences, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

It is noteworthy that KFSHRC has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 15th globally in the list of the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centres for the second consecutive year and recognised as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. Additionally, it was included in the World’s Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
