KFSH Jeddah Opens Simulation Centre to Enhance Clinical Training and Health Education

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH) in Jeddah has opened its Simulation Centre to provide an advanced training environment that mirrors real clinical settings, enabling healthcare practitioners to gain practical experience in managing medical procedures and critical cases before delivering direct patient care. The centre contributes to improving training efficiency, reducing the risk of medical errors, and enhancing patient safety.

The opening was attended by Dr. Salah Baz, Chief Executive Officer of KFSH Jeddah, along with several hospital leaders. The centre features a modern, integrated simulation-based training system, including high-fidelity simulators and advanced training technologies that enable clinical scenarios to be delivered across various healthcare settings, including emergency departments, intensive care units, operating rooms, and labour and delivery. It also includes a control room for managing training scenarios, as well as dedicated spaces for assessment, debriefing sessions, and interactive workshops.

The centre supports the training of healthcare practitioners in clinical decision-making, managing high-risk cases, and working within multidisciplinary teams. It also provides objective tools to assess performance and identify areas for improvement, contributing to stronger training outcomes and greater professional readiness.
