About the Workshop:

The Annals of Saudi Medicine under the Scientific Publications Office (Academic and Training Affairs) at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre is going to hold its FifthCritical Appraisal Workshop on 22 August 2019 (one full day). The workshop will cover a great range of in-depth topics such as:.

- Introduction to Critical Appraisal
- Why Sample Size Matters & How to Calculate it?
- Overview of Randomized Control Trial (RCT)
- Overview of Systematic Review
- Overview of Before & After Design
- Three Interactive Sessions of the Three Study Designs
- Live Experience of Being a Peer-Reviewer

Objective:
The workshop is your chance to:
- Gain the skills to evaluate and critique published papers.
- Develop a keen eye of a professional reviewer.

Audience:
- Physicians, researchers, pharmacists, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and medical students must attend this workshop.
- It is a pre-requisite in all training programs according to the CanMEDs Guidelines in order to attain the capabilities of the scholar role.

Certificates:
At the end of the program, attendees will be receiving two official certificates as described below:
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialities (8 CME hours).
- King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Academic and Training Affairs.
